An Invitation from Artistic Director, Cristina Altamura

Hello!

It's with great pleasure that I invite my long-time friends and LAI supporters to Princeton.

Join me and my world-class musical friends as we share the stage in celebrating the inauguration of my 1924 Steinway B grand piano, which was bequeathed to me by my mentor, pianist Jody Wise (1944 - 2020.) It will serve as the official instrument of the concert series, providing artists with a unique voice to channel their ideas.

The piano was exquisitely restored by Cantabile Piano Arts and Swiss technician Ivan Brenner, and will live beneath the Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows at Princeton United Methodist Church on the corner of Nassau and Vandeventer.

Altamura Legacy Concerts is a trifecta of excellent music, Italian coffee, and artistic craft against the backdrop of the church's windows... scheduled strategically at 4pm when the setting sunlight transforms the colors of the windows, casting a glow that morphs in real time with the music.

Each concert will include a coffee/tea bar by illy Coffee At Earth's End Princeton from 3:30-4pm and post-concert.

Cheers!
Cristina, Artistic Director

P.S. A little more about this series...
This series was also developed to serve the PUMC community and helps to fulfill its core mission to provide a physical space that is gracious, restorative, and healing. To that end, the sanctuary area of the venue will be available for a free will offering at the door to increase accessibility thanks to Legacy Arts International donors and the generosity of my dear friends and family.
